What is the Richmond Play Leaders Award?
The Award provides schools with a fantastic opportunity for children to develop both personally and through leadership during their lunch breaks.
The Richmond Play Leaders Award provides structured leadership opportunities for young children both in upper Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, while also contributing to whole school improvement.
This structure contributes to the improvement of whole school behaviour, develops the children's self esteem and the ability to work as part of a team. The Award has shown that it also develops personal responsibilities and contributes to the reduction in truancy.
The Play Leader Award has developed a new generation of Play Leaders which will go on to do other awards presented to them in Secondary Education.
